Snittkalkulator er en enkel nettside som lar deg regne ut gjennomsnittskarakteren din via vår karakterkalkulator.
Karakterkalkulatoren fungerer uavhengig om du har startet en Bachelorgrad eller fullfører en Mastergrad. Nettsiden gjelder for utvalgte Norske høyskoler & universiteter (se hvilke helt nederst).
Dersom du tar videreutdanning og vil sjekke om du når en bestemt poenggrense, kan snittkalkulatoren enkelt bistå med dette.

Hvordan snittet regnes:
5,00 – 4,5 = A i snitt
4,49 – 3,5 = B i snitt
3,49 – 2,5 = C i snitt
2,49 – 1,5 = D i snitt
1,49 – 1,0 = E i snitt
«Svakt» og «Sterkt» snitt:
5,00 = Ren A i snitt
4,76 – 4,99 = Sterkt A i snitt
4,50 – 4,75 = Svakt A i snitt
4,25 – 4,49 = Sterkt B i snitt
4,00 = Ren B snitt
3,5 – 3,75 = Svakt B i snitt
3,25 – 3,49 = Sterkt C i snitt
3,00 = Ren C snitt
2,5 – 2,99 = Svakt C i snitt

Hver bokstavkarakter har en tallverdi som blir brukt for regne ut snittet ditt. Tallverdiene er som følger:
A = 5
B = 4
C = 3
D = 2
E = 1
Snittet blir regnet gjennom en vekting av ulike karakterer, rangert etter antall studiepoeng. Det er veldig viktig at alle punktene fylles inn, for å gi et komplett resultat.
For eksempel:
Student X fikk følgende karakterer
(alle karakterene var 7.5 studiepoeng):
A, C & D.
Karakter A = 5 * 7,5 = 37,5
Karakter C = 3 * 7,5 = 22,5
Karakter D = 2 * 7,5 = 15
Vi tar den totale summen av alle karakterne; 37,5 + 22,5 + 15 = 75
Også deles det på den totale studiepoeng; 75 / 22,5 = 3,33
Snittet til student X = 3,33 – C i snitt (sterkt).
– Vi gjør oppmerksom på at ulike studier kan være regulert annerledes enn eksemplet over og karakterkalkulatoren er ment som en pekepinn.
